Christmas Recovery

My son and his family were burned out of their home in November. Many in our church were quick to offer supplies to help them rebuild. We took a load up to them with all the love and support of our local faith community.

The gifts we brought weren’t extravagant. They were kids clothes, kitchen supplies, linens and such. Most were used, and in good shape. The blessing was that they had supplies to start over. And, they were blessed by our presence and willingness to drive 1500 miles to do it.

We made like wisemen to be on time with our Christmas gifts.

So, how can you bless someone during this season? Can you give someone the gift of time? Can you visit someone who is home bound? Can you share your table with someone who would otherwise be alone?

Give the gift of yourself. Share your love, your hope and your belief that our needs are met through an abundant source.
