“It came to pass.” There are more than 43 places this is used in Genesis alone and over 200 times in the whole Bible. Many times this wording is used to follow or precede something that appeared to be unpleasant and unwanted. However, Romans 8:28 tells us that “All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
This phrase reminds me to take hope when things don’t play out the way I wish they would. It came to pass; it didn’t come to stay!!
When I reach the other side, I can see this situation will be for my good.
